Birmingham, Alabama – Frederick O. Palmer, 86, died April 22, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Savannah and was a resident of Birmingham since 1956. Mr. Palmer was a graduate of Benedictine Military School and the University of Georgia. He retired as controller from a subsidiary of St. Regis Paper Company. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. His wife, Nola Williams Palmer preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughter, Jean Meeks of Wrightsville, GA and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2006 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Burial: Catholic Cemetery.
